Finding Your Voice… Claiming your Space…

There was a time in my childhood when finding my voice was not poetic...

It was clinical.

I sat in speech therapy as a young boy, working through sounds that did not come easily, feeling the quiet weight of being slightly behind the rhythm of the room. You do not forget what it feels like to hesitate before speaking. You do not forget the awareness that your words require effort when others seem to speak freely.

For a long time, that hesitation followed me. It shaped how small I kept myself. It taught me to measure my words before I believed they were worthy of space.

Somewhere along the path, though, something shifted. The very thing that once made me shrink became the reason I learned to stand fully in my voice.

So if the way I carry myself now feels strong to you, understand that it was earned. It was shaped through silence, self doubt, and years of learning not to apologize for existing. I am not here to be better than anyone. I am not here to compete with anyone. I am simply committed to becoming more fully myself.

I will not make myself smaller to soothe someone else's insecurity. Not because I lack compassion, but because shrinking does not serve either of us. And I will hold the container for you to show up in, if need be.

Growth is not arrogance. Alignment is not superiority. Confidence is not a threat. I am in competition with no one but the person I was yesterday...

As Marianne Williamson writes, “And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.”

That is the path I choose. Not dominance. Not comparison. Illumination.

If my light unsettles you, I gently invite you to ask why. And if it inspires you, even better. Stand up. Speak clearly. Take up space in your own becoming. There is room for all of us to shine.

And let me say this clearly to you: you have permission. Permission to claim your space. Permission to grow beyond the version of you that once played small. Permission to own the strength that life carved into you. You are not here to dilute yourself so others feel comfortable. You are here to become the fullest expression of who you were designed to be.

When you stand in that truth, the right people will find you. The ones who are aligned with your frequency, your integrity, your fire.

Shine anyway.

Speak anyway.

Rise anyway.

The world does not need a quieter version of you. It needs the grounded, healed, slightly unstoppable bad ass that you already are.

Be bold. Be luminous. Be unapologetically you.

Blessings, Love & Light...
