This weeks blog post comes not from me, but from the man who made millions think about life in ways that had me turned on my head when I read this book... The book, Illusions ~ The Adventures of a Reluctant Messiah, shook my world, and was the first time in my life, at the age of 25, that had me questioning everything.
To look behind the veil of what the world was showing me. It gave me permission to be who I was, not who everyone told me I should be...
The small section below had me questioning everything I was taught, and placed me on the path of self discovery, self worth and self Love...
Can you answer the question?
There was a master come unto the earth, born in the holy land of Indiana, raised in the mystical hills east of Fort Wayne ... and he smiled upon the multitudes and said pleasantly unto them,
“I quit.”
The crowd was aghast. “You can’t quit!”
Donald thought for a moment, then said.
“If a man told God that he wanted most of all to help the suffering world, no matter the price to himself, and God answered and told him what he must do, should the man do as he is told?”
The crowd murmurs with unrest. A young woman from the crowd answers.
“Of course! It should be a pleasure for him to suffer the tortures of hell itself should God ask for it!”
Donald looks around at the crowd, they all stare back in a collective stupor.
“And what would you do if God spoke directly to your face and said, I command you that you be happy in the world as long as you live…
What would you do then?”
