What God Hates… and What We're Becoming - A Bible Lesson for those supporting what is happening in our Country…

ree

There are moments when I look around and feel a tightening in my chest. It’s not just the news. It’s the way we’ve normalized the noise. We scroll past hatred like its wallpaper, call lies “branding,” and reward pride like it's some badge of honor.

But if we’re bold enough to pull back the veil, we might remember that long before social media algorithms or political parties, there was a sacred text that warned us, there are six things the Lord hates, seven that are detestable to

Her / Him.

Let’s walk through them together, and see if they sound familiar.

1. Haughty Eyes

That smug, self-important stare, pride that refuses to look inward. It's the influencer who flaunts luxury while communities crumble, the CEO who slashes jobs with a smile, the everyday arrogance we wear like armor. We have glorified self over service. And God hates it.

2. A Lying Tongue

Not just fibs, but the kind of lies that shape narratives, hide abuse, sell products, and rewrite truth until no one remembers what was real. From corporate double-speak to media spin, we’re drowning in curated realities. And we’re teaching the next generation to speak in half-truths because it sells better.

3. Hands that Shed Innocent Blood

It’s not just about murder, though there’s far too much of that. It’s about violence woven into our systems. Children harmed by broken schools. Innocents crushed under the weight of greed. When profit means more than people, blood is on all our hands.

4. A Heart that Devises Wicked Schemes

This is calculated cruelty. The kind that scripts manipulation and labels it “strategy.” The companies that know their product harms people but push it anyway. The politicians who sow division for votes. It’s not accidental. It’s premeditated. And we’re numb to it.

5. Feet that Hurry to Do Evil

We are fast to judge, fast to cancel, fast to harm when someone stumbles. Our feet chase rage more than reconciliation. We’ve traded community for clout, compassion for clicks. And all the while, we race toward decay with open arms.

6. A False Witness Who Pours Out Lies

We call it spin. We call it “content.” But God calls it detestable. When people twist stories to destroy others, when we post without checking facts, when we let gossip masquerade as concern, we become part of the lie. And our silence becomes complicity.

7. A Person Who Stirs Up Conflict in the Community

Perhaps this is the most damning. The one who thrives on chaos. Who gossips under the guise of “truth-telling.” Who divides to feel powerful. Who sows doubt just to watch others bleed. We see it in churches. In schools. In families. And it's rotting us from within.

We Can Rise Above...

These seven things aren't just ancient words. They're warnings. They're a mirror held up to a world that has lost its way.

But here’s the part that catches in my Heart: We can still choose differently.

This is not an endorsement of organized religion in any sense. These are the truths we are witnessing first hand. The lighter the light… The darker the dark. And yet it only takes on small candle to lighten the darkest room, or mind.

Be the Light!

We can turn away from pride and practice humility. We can seek truth even when it’s inconvenient. We can stop celebrating cruelty, and begin rebuilding trust. We can speak life where there’s been division. We can remember Love. Not the watered-down version, but the fierce, holy, all-consuming Love that stands in the face of darkness and refuses to bow.

God doesn’t hate because He’s cruel. He hates what kills us. And maybe, just maybe, it’s time we hate it too. And choose something better.

If you still support what is unfolding in our world at this time, two things are true about you.

1) You are on the wrong side of History...

2) You are certainly on the wrong side of Morality…

Blessings, Love & Light…
